Situated in a forest on the shores of Lake Los Molinos, this multi-purpose space addresses the need for a meeting place in a new development for vacation homes.
The project is located on a canal-shaped area formed by the trace of an old route that crossed the Calamuchita Valley, connecting the city of Córdoba with the southern part of the province. The site is highly evocative due to its topographical features and the twilight atmosphere created by the eucalyptus forest. The strategy is to respect the channel's function as a circulation space while experiencing it as intensely as possible. The result is a pavilion suspended in the form of a bridge, positioned transversely across the canal and supported on both banks by two concrete walls that define not only its access but also the scale of the intervention. These walls are constructed with pigmented concrete to achieve a texture and color in harmony with the surroundings.
The bridge space is resolved with a Vierendeel metal beam that spans the entire height of the volume and rests on the two ends of the canal. The "plumb" glass carpentry enclosure causes the volume to either transform and blend into the forest landscape through its reflection or exhibit complete transparency.
